FAQ
Do I need prior research experience to apply?
No. What matters most is your motivation, curiosity, and willingness to learn. Many of our projects involve learning new tools and methods together — we'd rather grow with someone passionate than receive a polished résumé without intent.

Are international applicants welcome?
Absolutely. SAIL operates in English for research discussions, and Korean proficiency is not required. International students are encouraged to apply through the same form.
외국인 학생도 환영합니다. 연구 토론은 영어로 가능하며, 한국어 능력은 필수가 아닙니다.
What should I study in advance?
Familiarity with Python, basic machine learning, and one of: robotics fundamentals, CAD/mechanics, or signal processing is helpful. But you don't need everything — we value the willingness to learn over checklist-style preparation.

How long is an undergraduate internship?
Typically 3–6 months, flexible to your school schedule (semester or vacation periods). Interns are paid; specific terms are arranged individually after the interview.
학부 인턴은 3–6개월 단위가 일반적이며, 학기/방학 일정에 맞춰 조율 가능합니다. 인건비를 지급합니다.
How long until I hear back?
You can expect a response within 1–2 weeks of submission. The full process — form review, interview, and offer — usually takes 2–4 weeks.

I'm not sure if I'm a good fit — should I still apply?
Yes. We'd rather hear from you and discuss together than have you self-filter out. If positions are full, we may still keep your application on file for future openings.
